    Sapon IQ began with a simple idea. Everyday body care should feel good for your skin and good for your senses.

    In 2013, founder Sandy Palisch discovered handcrafted soap during a family trip to Colorado. When her supply ran out, her engineering curiosity took over. She became fascinated with the chemistry of clean, plant based ingredients and started creating her own formulas from scratch.

    What began as a hobby quickly became a craft. By 2016, Sandy launched her first collection of small batch soaps made with organic oils and essential oils. Today, she and her longtime collaborator Erin Reilly oversee everything from formulation to production, united by one goal: to make everyday routines feel calm, intentional, and elevated.

Why Sapon IQ?

The name Sapon IQ reflects the heart of our brand: nature, craftsmanship, clean ingredients, and intelligent formulation. 

“Sapon” comes from sapo, the Latin root for soap, and the foundation of the word saponification - the chemical reaction that creates every bar we make.

The “IQ” represents our thoughtful, engineering minded approach to creating products with simple ingredients and smart formulation.

How Products Are Made

The cold process method allows each ingredient to retain its natural benefits. After blending the organic oils with essential oils and additives, each bar is poured, unmolded, cut, and cured for four weeks to ensure optimal hardness, longevity, and quality.
